Beyond the gate, a long and dramatic avenue lined alternately with cypresses and maritime pines leads to L’Andana, one of the most evocative hotels in the area. On reaching the restaurant, do not be misled by the name: what awaits is not the atmosphere of a trattoria, but refined dining rooms and the cuisine of Enrico Bartolini, here working in partnership with Gabriele Verri. The latter’s Ligurian roots find an echo in certain dishes, others embrace Tuscany, and creativity inspires the rest.
