Krestyansky Dom

A restaurant in a remote village, on the very edge of Russia. The menu is based around a traditional wood-fired oven.

The "Peasant House" restaurant, located on a farmstead belonging to an elderly beekeeper, was opened by people who simply didn't know that restaurants couldn't be opened in such places. They are simply building their dream, a place of power. They produce truly delicious products. Cheese, cider, apple cheese, honey – all are made on-site. The farmstead is located in the forest, on the very edge of Russia. The Neman River flows in front of the farmstead; on the other side of the river is Lithuania. The farmstead and restaurant have breathed new life into a dying village, providing jobs for more than a dozen people. And, importantly, they have created a very delicious restaurant.
