About
Kiyomi is a Japanese restaurant offering a daily dining experience.
The menu, created by Artemy Lopatin and Pavel Annenkov, reflects the diverse nature of Japanese cuisine. Unlike the typical single-concept restaurants found in Japan, Kiyomi allows guests to choose from a wide range of options, from sashimi made with yellowtail or various cuts of tuna, to dishes prepared over an open flame. "I'm in love with Japanese cuisine for its unexpected combinations of everyday and rare ingredients, the flavors of which are enhanced by miso, salt, soy sauce, and sake. At Kiyomi, we've created a menu based on familiar Tokyo cuisine, where an abundance of flavors, textures, and temperatures allows you to truly experience the heart of Japan," says Artemy Lopatin, head chef. Pastry chef Lena Nabiullina offers desserts featuring Japanese specialties such as matcha, miso paste, and rice. The bar menu, curated by head bartender Maxim Gorelik and bar manager Danil Redin, takes guests on a journey through eight regions of Japan: the lavender fields of Hokkaido, the snowy peaks of Tsubo, the cherry blossom forests of Chugoku, the apple orchards of Tohoku, the capital city of Tokyo, the matcha tea plantations of Kansai, and the tropical region of Kyushu. The Mitsu No One cocktail is made with sake and genepi, while the Kimura Highball features vodka, bergamot, pear, and lime. The wine list, curated by brand sommelier Dmitry Kipelkin and head sommelier Evgenia Nazimova, features both iconic wines and new discoveries, with a focus on crisp, generous white wines. Tea sommelier Anna Svisheva offers guests a wide selection of high-grade matcha in traditional usucha and koicha styles, as well as variations of matcha latte. Designers Tatiana Kharchenko and Serdar Yanikov (Design Aid studio) created a design that showcases Japanese culture through the lens of European aesthetics. The restaurant's color palette evokes the colors of autumn, while the abundance of textures and details creates a unique atmosphere: hand-painted haiku panels on gold leaf, sisal on the walls, and copper leaves on the Kazuhide Takahama-designed chairs complement the terracotta travertine. Art is an integral part of the interior design. The main dining room features paintings by Nikita Parechin, while the black bar displays works by artist Natalia Tarantseva. A small alcove with a round window features two pieces by Liza Bobkova. The restaurant also has two private rooms, each accommodating up to 6 guests. 80 seats.
