Husband-and-wife team Mark and Jennifer Berdin helm this intimate eight-seat counter, which began as a small market stand before evolving into an eight-seat tasting-menu experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and personable, with Chef Berdin preparing each course directly in front of guests, balancing focus with an easy warmth. Expect a generous progression that moves from composed small dishes and pristine sashimi into a carefully paced nigiri sequence, built piece by piece with warm rice and clean seasoning. A thoughtful fish-based ramen and restrained desserts round out a meal that feels both abundant and precise, anchored by an excellent sake program and a strong sense of hospitality.
