With its classic half-timbering, elegant detailing, peaceful surroundings and splendid wood-panelled hunting room, this authentic English country house (1907) is utterly enchanting. The dishes, too, are beautifully presented, and the flavours live up to the optics. The chef strikes a fine balance between robust classic cuisine and contemporary finesse. Pickled salmon, for instance, is topped with radish cannelloni filled with prawn and dill. A curry emulsion and a ponzu vinaigrette complete the dish.
