De Kromme Dissel represents a piece of Dutch culinary history, having retained a MICHELIN Star since 1971. It is set in a 17C Saxon farmhouse that has a charming rustic interior and crackling fireplace that exude timeless warmth. Maître d' Ronnie Brouwer and his team provide attentive service and expert wine recommendations; seasoned chef Tonny Berentsen breathes new life into classic cuisine with creative ideas. Drawing inspiration from his travels through Asia, he elevates a venison jus with five spices to tease extra nuance out of venison saddle. Another standout: succulent quail breast roulade filled with intensely flavoursome foie gras, accompanied by crispy pan-fried quail legs, textures of salsify and a rich and creamy truffle-infused quail sauce. The chef lets his ingredients shine, continuing De Kromme Dissel's proud heritage with his signature style. This perennial favourite continues to reinvent itself – much to the delight of many a foodie!
