Coffee Mecht
About
A dessert cafe with nostalgic recipes, music, and decor, where almost all dreams come true.
This dream coffee shop is a winner of the "Golden Branch" award in 2019 for the best bar & hop. It's a dessert cafe with nostalgic recipes and music reminiscent of our youth and Gaidai films. The film "Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession" was actually filmed at this very location (where the coffee shop is now), so the song "The January Blizzard is Roaring" is perfectly fitting for this dream coffee shop. The menu features coffee, milkshakes, homemade lemonades made according to the old Soviet standards (GOST), but the most special items are the cookies and pastries made using equipment from 1982. The secret to the dough is kept under strict wraps, as it's a family secret. They even make their own condensed milk for the fillings. The interior is designed in Soviet-era colors with pin-up elements. Instead of chandeliers, pots with polka dots hang from the ceiling, and rolling pins and wooden spoons adorn the walls. The staff greets each customer with the words, "What are you dreaming of?" And if they can't fulfill the dream, they offer a "dream" candy and encourage them to make a wish, which is sure to come true. Because dreams come true where they are believed in.
