About

"Chirem" – "Spring of Tatar Cuisine." The word "chirem," translated from Tatar, means young spring grass. This word and the accompanying slogan characterize the ancient traditions of Tatarstan and the changes that have occurred over the years.

First and foremost, Tatar traditions are conveyed in the restaurant "Chirem" through national gastronomy. This begins with a menu available in two languages: Tatar (preserving the Tatar alphabet) and Russian. It features the most popular dishes and drinks of Tatarstan, and preserves the traditional methods of preparation.

The restaurant strives to remember and remind both the younger generation and visitors to the capital about these traditions. The head chef of "Chirem" worked with Yunus Akhmetzyanov, a renowned culinary expert and creator of a library of unique recipes for traditional Tatar cuisine. Together, they traveled throughout the regions, searching for ancient recipes for national dishes. To recreate these dishes, they used products sourced from farms in Tatarstan.
