About

On the port of Cancale, Breizh Café has one motto: "A new take on crêpes." After all, the concept was originally born in Japan! The owner, Bertrand Larcher, was the first to export Brittany's galettes (buckwheat pancakes) to Tokyo, and several Japanese restaurants later, he has opened one back home. The produce is premium and organic (eggs, cheese, meat) and the crispy flavoursome galettes and wafer-thin, soft pancakes are made entirely traditionally. The filling depends on your fancy, ranging from classical to unusual: artichoke rolls, spider crab, Comté cheese and Saint Malo wakame seaweed. The glazed façade commands a fine view of Cancale harbour. Something of a local landmark, it is often fully booked.
