Big Asia

About

Big Asia, a sake bar and pan-Asian restaurant owned by Alan Bigati, located on Zemlyanoy Val street, offers a unique experience. The menu features Vietnamese spring rolls with dried duck, Korean soju, Singaporean laksa, Japanese ramen, and Chinese hot and sour soup. You'll also find baijiu, a Chinese grain-based vodka, and rice sake paired with freshly squeezed yuzu juice. The decor includes a striking mural featuring a glamorous Rihanna and paper lanterns. The concept of this new bar on the Garden Ring is inspired by small, Asian-inspired establishments in Berlin, but with a European interpretation of Asia. Big Asia is designed for those who appreciate unusual strong drinks and complex cocktails. While sake is traditionally classified based on the rice polishing process, Alan decided to make it easier for Moscow residents to choose sake by using a wine-like classification system, from full-bodied to light, with recommendations for pairing the sake with specific foods. The menu includes sections like "For Asian soups and appetizers" or "For Asian desserts."
