This dimly lit, subterranean bar and restaurant comes with a speakeasy vibe – the space once hosted all sorts of corporeal activities and that history just adds to the secretive, intimate atmosphere. Born and raised in the Philippines, the owner-chef takes the flavours of his home and adds his own little twists and turns. Not all the dishes may work but it’s hard not to be swept up by his passion and enthusiasm as he talks you through each one of his creations. The cocktails are some of the best in town; try the ‘Magdatini’.
