In the Villé valley, this old farmhouse in the upper reaches of the village of Steige provides the canvas on which chef Yannick Guth expresses his culinary creativity. His dishes draw on local produce, foraged ingredients (eg herbs and flowers from the surrounding fields) and freshwater fish (pike, zander, Arctic char). His sense of invention is sometimes surprising, but always confident and judicious. Make a beeline for the pleasant terrace, which offers sweeping views of the rolling landscape – the perfect spot for an aperitif or coffee. A friendly welcome and service.
