Opened in 1947 and well known to Strasbourg locals, this winstub is now run by Alexis Albrecht, chef at Au Vieux Couvent in Rhinau. The menu, more akin to an Alsace bistro than a traditional winstub, showcases classic bistro dishes, seasonal fare and Alsace traditions: terrine with game hunted in the Ried, Alsace white asparagus and morels in puff pastry, pikeperch with beurre noisette, veal kidney with charcutière sauce, or bouchée à la reine (vol au vent). Delicious, generous dishes made with quality ingredients. Friendly atmosphere and good wine recommendations.
