Situated in a pleasant location on the Altopiano del Salto plateau just a few kilometres from Bolzano, this restaurant has been run by five generations of women, all of whom enshrine a strong connection with the local land through their top-quality cuisine. The menu here showcases delicious, generously portioned cuisine from the South Tyrol (the veal cheek fondant, taragna polenta mousse, cocoa shavings and sour radishes is superb) which is prepared for the most part from home-produced ingredients and served in typical, modernised dining rooms or on the bright, airy panoramic terrace. To enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of San Genesio to the full, we recommend booking one of the rooms in the inn and maybe even taking one of their Haflinger horses out for a ride.
