About
Chef Viktor Ageev of the "Italianka" restaurant comes from a family of cooks: his mother and grandmother were cooks, and his great-grandmother was a head pastry chef. Therefore, even as a child, he learned to cook and enjoyed the process, and he decided on his future profession at a young age. After graduating from high school, Viktor enrolled in the Sochi Trade and Technology College, specializing in cooking and pastry. This marked the beginning of his journey towards becoming a chef. In 2011, he joined the Ginza Project team, working at the restaurant "The Sad." Later, under the guidance of Chef Mirko Zago, he honed his skills at the "Cheese" restaurant, part of the Novikov Group. From 2014 to 2019, Viktor collaborated on various projects in Sochi, including "Sinye More," "Corks," "Chayka i Lastochka," and the "Grand Café Alen Rosso" in the Krasnaya Polyana area. Since 2019, Viktor Ageev has been the head chef at the "Volna" cafe, the Sky&Wine bar, and the Prince&Horse gastropub. In 2022, a new chapter began in Viktor's professional life with the opening of the "Italianka" restaurant-trattoria, where he took on the role of head chef. The restaurant is located on the central promenade of Sochi and serves exclusively traditional Italian dishes. "I love to travel and explore the cuisines of different countries. I enjoy cooking for myself and others, and it brings me immense pleasure! I can easily influence a person's mood through food. After all, delicious food always brings a smile," says Viktor Ageev, describing his philosophy in the culinary world.
