About
Sergey is one of the pioneers of modern Black Sea cuisine and the first chef to popularize it. As a true patriot, he reinterpreted recipes familiar from childhood, recipes that fishermen used, and gave them a new life on the culinary scene. Local wines also play a significant role in shaping the regional cuisine, and Sergey actively uses them in his dishes. Sergey Alshevsky was instrumental in the creation of the "Abrau-Durso" restaurant complex. Under his leadership, 7 restaurants and cafes serving Black Sea, Caucasian, and French cuisine were opened, as well as the "Abrau-Durso" culinary school – a place where they are happy to share new recipes and skills with both amateurs and professionals. He completed internships in two-Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, France, and Spain, traveled 9,000 kilometers, and visited 100 restaurants in Europe. He is the winner of the "Resort Olympus" cup in the "Best Chef" category. During his time working at the "Abrau-Durso" tourism center, Sergey won a bronze cup and a bronze medal in culinary arts for the Krasnodar region. He also serves as a consultant for fish processing companies.
