About

Mehmet Chalyskan is from Turkey, specifically the city of Istanbul. He comes from a family of butchers. To become a master of his craft, Mehmet began working in 2001. Mehmet possesses the traditional family knowledge of preparing and cooking meat over an open flame. He worked at the restaurant Günaydın (named after Asan Junaydin, the owner and mentor), where hardworking and determined Turkish young men ("gençler") started their careers, helping their fathers with butchering and preparing meat for holidays since childhood. In 2018, he came to St. Petersburg, where he developed the menu concept for the MEAT_COIN restaurant on Rubinstein Street. At the end of 2021, he opened the Moscow MEAT_COIN restaurant in the Smolensky Passage 2 shopping center, and in August 2022, he opened the MEAT_COIN Country Club in Komarovo. As Mehmet often says: "Only true flavor creates true pleasure!"
