About
Igor Sosenkov is one of those chefs who bring a distinctive, personal touch to every project, and his dishes have a recognizable character. The menu at "David TLV" features cuisine from the Middle East that is close to authentic, but adapted for a modern palate. You can find both classic favorites and Chef Igor Sosenkov's original interpretations of Israeli dishes, as well as what is likely the best pulled beef in the city, and fragrant, homemade bread. The "Bix" project, inspired by American bars of the roaring 20s, has become a true Moscow institution. There are no burgers or ribs here, but discerning diners know where to go for Louisiana-style dishes: gumbo with shrimp, Po-Boy sandwiches, and the iconic Mac'n'cheese. The chef himself describes the cuisine at the "Mitzva" bar as "kosher-style." There are no seafood or pork dishes, and meat is not mixed with dairy. However, the spirit of "Mitzva" is a blend of classic traditions and modern Israeli culinary trends. For five years, Igor Sosenkov has been focusing on pure flavors and vibrant combinations of Middle Eastern and Jewish cuisine, which he has found to be so close to his own sensibilities. He is constantly striving for improvement, gathering information from books, films, and articles, and continues to experiment in his pursuit of perfection.
