Alexander was born in 1992 in Saratov. He developed a passion for gastronomy from a young age and started cooking at the age of five. After obtaining a higher education in economics, he followed his heart and, instead of completing a mandatory internship in his field, he took a job at a Chinese noodle shop in his hometown, which became his first professional training ground. In 2017, Alexander Sadchikov had a lucky break when he responded to a job posting for a cook at the Hamlet & Jacks restaurant, which specializes in innovative cuisine. Over five years, he progressed from a cook in the hot kitchen to the project's head chef, replacing Evgeny Vikentiev, who had moved to Moscow. In January 2023, he was appointed head chef at the Memo restaurant. "The project creators value a unique perspective and are willing to give the head chef creative freedom within the framework of the project's concept – Eastern cuisine with a Mediterranean influence," Alexander explains. One of his favorite ingredients is potatoes, which he appreciates for its versatility and ability to pair well with other ingredients. He draws inspiration from the "Flemish rebels" movement: chefs in Flanders have managed to elevate traditional, humble ingredients like potatoes, turnips, and beets to the level of gastronomic haute couture and Michelin-starred restaurants. "True culinary mastery is defined by the ability to create a masterpiece from the most ordinary and familiar ingredients," Alexander believes. "And the best reward for a chef is curious guests with a refined palate who are eager to expand their horizons."
