Alexander spent his childhood in a small town in the Irkutsk region. Later, he studied and served as a cook in the Pacific Fleet, where he began his introduction to the culinary world. Alexander began his career in gastronomy in 2002 as a Sous Chef at the Japanese restaurant Kyoto, quickly becoming the best sushi chef in the city.
