Meet Alexander Yermakov, the head chef at The Park restaurant. The main restaurant at the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow hotel serves the best breakfasts in the city, from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM daily. Alexander has over 17 years of experience in hotel and restaurant kitchens, ranging from Holiday Inn and Marriott Grand to the legendary Metropol. In his previous role, he was responsible for catering for the board of directors at VK headquarters, and, incidentally, he beat 70 colleagues in the "Best VK Chef" competition. But the facts are only half the story. Here are five things that make Alexander a particularly interesting person: 1. He made dumplings with Danny DeVito live on the First Channel. 2. He is a member of a BMW enthusiast club. 3. He collects t-shirts from all over the world. 4. He managed to go karting on a frozen lake. 5. He has a weakness for bowling. "Every day is a chance for me to learn something new," he says. "And the main principle is simple: 'good enough' is not enough." For Alexander, the perfect day off is time with his family, his professional pride is his ability to see projects through to completion, and his dream is to build a yacht. In the kitchen, he is confident that a strong team is not only built on talent, but also on trust between its members.
