About
Alexei Krupenkov entered the culinary profession at the age of 33, having a background in theology and service in the Russian Orthodox Church. He began his career in gastronomy as an intern at the restaurant "Biven'." He completed internships at renowned establishments in St. Petersburg, such as Mr. Bo, Paloma Cantina, El Capitas Bar, the gastronomic cafe "Mechtaтели," and others, and also studied at the "SVC" chef school. Alexei started his career as a head chef at the family-owned Italian restaurant "Casa Nostra." At different times, he held positions as the brand chef at the restaurant "Mayakovsky" (located at the "Rodina" hotel in Sortavala) and the gastrobar MKV, and worked as a head chef at the banquet restaurant "Dragunsky Ruchey" and "Usad'ba Maryino." Currently, he is the head chef at the restaurant "Kladovaya" in Petergof. He is a member of the CHEF TEAM RUSSIA guild. He is a participant of the MApK (presumably a culinary association). He is in the top 100 according to the Hospitality People portal. He is a participant in the "Couturier Gourmet" competition. He participated in the TV shows "Housewives vs. Chefs" and "Full Capacity" with Konstantin Ivlev on the "Pjatnitsa" channel.
He was born in Leningrad. He studied at the Institute of Theology and Philosophy and at the St. Petersburg State Academy of Industry and Commerce. He does not have formal culinary education. He learned about gastronomy and restaurant work through internships at restaurants in St. Petersburg and at the "SVC" chef school. He is passionate about gastronomy in all its forms and expressions. He writes prose and poetry. Alexei has written two novels and a collection of poems. He is also preparing a cookbook for children for publication.
