If you happen to be travelling along the Costa da Morte and are looking for a good place to eat, it is well worth booking a table at Villa de Oro, a third-generation restaurant that has already celebrated its golden wedding anniversary! Located in the centre of Camariñas, on the ground floor of a residential building, it boasts a recently modernised dining room, a small glass-fronted wine cellar and a live seafood tank. The traditional, regionally inspired à la carte menu is, as you would expect in this part of the world, heavily focused on fish and seafood, although a choice of meat dishes is also available. The house speciality is rice with lobster!
