Tabal Gastronomi Evi is a civic project backed by the city of Niğde. Its mission is to showcase local traditions and regional ingredients – an initiative mission it fulfils with conviction. The enticing menu (you can't argue with the prices!) makes choosing a challenge. Will you go for the baked potatoes topped with crumbled blue cheese, dill and a rocket salad on the side? Or the juicy lamb cooked in the tandoori oven, served with rice mixed with almonds, currants and cinnamon? Whatever your decision, you are in for a treat. And the portions are large enough that they can easily be shared. At this lively establishment, which has a cosier dining area on the upper floor, you are fully immersed in local life.
